MsgVariantDocument
For ordinary WhatsApp document messages, the Hub attempts any file format without a document MIME or extension allowlist, up to 100 MiB (104857600 bytes). Known documented formats include TXT, PDF, DOC/DOCX, PPT/PPTX and XLS/XLSX; this list is not exhaustive. Other formats, such as CSV, may also be accepted. EXE and other unlisted files are attempted without a guarantee of provider acceptance. Document bytes are preserved. An enqueued response does not confirm delivery. Immediate provider rejection returns status error in the send response; later failure is reported through subscribed status webhooks with status error and available provider error details. Template documents follow their separate provider requirements. Other channels retain their existing document rules.
Optional display filename; inferred from media URL or channel defaults when omitted.
Concrete document MIME type; wildcards are not valid.
Optional companion text. Delivered as a document caption on WhatsApp, Telegram and Web Chatt (widget v1.3.3 or later). Messenger discards companion text. Send a separate text message on those channels. Instagram does not support outbound documents. Twilio MMS can carry text alongside a document subject to carrier support.
